MORRISON, Ill. — Doris L. Musch, 85, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas R. Petty, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, and Pastor Kimberly Musch, granddaughter, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL. Memorials may be made to the East Oregon Chapel Church of God, Oregon, IL.
She was born November 23, 1924, in Morrison, IL, to Vernon M. and Hattie (Kuehl) Mort.
Doris was educated in Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1942 graduate of Morrison High School.
She married Charles E. Musch on August 23, 1944, in Morrison, IL; he died March 12, 1978.
Doris was employed by the former National Tea Grocery Store in Morrison, IL, for 14 years, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church. In 1992, she moved to Prophetstown and attended Advent Christian Church and was a member of the church’s Women’s Home and Foreign Missions Society. Doris enjoyed her volunteer work as a member of the auxiliary of the Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL. Spending time with her family was of the greatest importance to Doris. She also enjoyed helping others.
Survivors include two daughters, Tomi Jean Tillman, Morrison, IL, and Mary Jo Dunagan of Morrison, IL; one son, Allen D. Musch of Oregon, IL; ten grandchildren, Charlie (Tom) Melton, Justin (Lisa) Tillman; Dana (Mike) Anderson, Patrick Dunagan, Stephanie Dunagan; Amanda (Matt) Jacinto, April Musch, Kimberly Musch, Jessica Musch, Britney Musch; seven great-grandchildren: Ryan Tillman, Tommy Melton; Collin Tillman; Dylan and Allie Anderson; Michael Jacinto, Jersey Garcia; two sisters, Mary Jane (Raymond) Habben of Morrison, IL, Vernabelle Fletcher of Morrison, IL.
