Milton C. Schroeder

CLINTON — Milton C. Schroeder, age 64, of Clinton, died Monday Nov. 30, 2009, at his home.

According his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5th, at the Best Western Frontier, Clinton, in the Georgian BC Room. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Milton was born on June 6, 1945, in Chicago, IL, the son of Edward and Millie (Boersma) Schroeder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a conductor at Chicago Northwestern Railroad and more recently at Union Pacific Railroad.

Milton is survived by his special friend, Pat Huisenga, of Albany, IL; a daughter, Michelle (David) Avdich of Downers Grove, IL; three grandchildren, David, Stewart and Michael; his mother, Millie Sommer; three brothers, Jeff (Rusann) Schroeder, Jack Schroeder and Steve Schroeder; and an aunt, Alice Loescher.

He was preceded in death by his father.
