CLINTON —
Roger Bousselot was honored Monday for more than 20 years on the Clinton County Planning and Zoning committee.
“As one of the older members of the board, I will tell you that Roger (Bousselot) was always available,” Clinton County Supervisor Jill Davison said during the board’s meeting on Monday morning. “We went to him a lot of times to ask for advice because we weren’t sure how things were dealt with and we’d ask Rodger and he had a good memory.”
Bousselot attended the meeting, along with his wife Betty Ann Bousselot, to receive a plaque from the Planning and Zoning Commission and the board. Members from the commission attended the meeting to thank Bousselot for his time.
“I’ve learned a lot of things from you through the years,” County Planning and Zoning Chairman Jerome Burken said.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Brian Schmidt also thanked Bousselot for his approximately 23 years on the commission. He read a letter from the board that highlighted Bousselot’s collaborative planning with the board which “effectively addressed the quality of life for citizens of Clinton County.”
“May you retire knowing that you have made a remarkable contribution enhancing growth and development of Clinton County,” Schmidt read.
Supervisor John Staszewski jokingly asked Bousselot to find a replacement that will stay for another 23 or more years. Bousselot thanked the board and added that he enjoyed his time on the commission.
