No arrest in Clinton bank robbery

Police, FBI checking out several leads from community

CLINTON — No arrest has been made connected with the Monday robbery at Clinton National Bank.

Clinton Police Capt. Tom Bohle said police are still investigating the robbery and are being assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He added that members of the public are helping as well.

“We’ve received numerous leads and we’re making every attempt to follow up on every one of them,” Bohle said. He added that catching this man is a priority.

The robbery occurred at 11:50 a.m., with the suspect leaving the 1912 N. Second St. location on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He was described as a white male with a thin build wearing a dark multi-colored stocking cap, a dark-colored hooded coat and blue jeans. Photographs from surveilance video footage have  been released to the public.
