Clinton school district readying for garage sale

CLINTON — The first floor of the Roosevelt building is bursting with desks, chairs, tables and other furniture in anticipation of the Clinton School District’s garage sale Saturday.

The furniture is all property of the school district that is not being used anymore.

Items run the gamut from large tables with intricate woodwork, chairs and bookcases to basic filing cabinets.

Prices for the items range from a few dollars to around $40. All of the money earned from purchased items will go into the general fund.

According to superintendent Deb Olson, items that are not sold at the garage sale will be discarded.

The garage sale will run from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Roosevelt building. The event is strictly cash and carry.
