Women’s Expo postponed

CLINTON — UPDATE - Feb. 21, 2013, 11:30 a.m.: Tonight's Women's Expo has been postponed due to impending weather conditions. It will be rescheduled for a date in April.

A new event giving women a chance to explore their personal style, rejuvenate their health and uncover their passions will take place this Thursday at the Wild Rose Casino.  

The first Ultimate Women’s Expo, sponsored by the Clinton Herald and Don’s Jewelry will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Wild Rose Event Center, 777 Wild Rose Drive. The event is free and open to the public.

“Come spend a ladies night out with your girlfriends,” Clinton Herald Advertising Representative Kathy Huizenga said.  

More than 25 vendors will offer women a chance to have a night out complete with free samples, shopping, a fashion show demonstrations, spa treatments and more.

Vendors run the gamut to fashionable boutique items for sale to personal wellness providers to food purveyors, providing women with a night they won’t forget.

“It’s an event that’s casual and nice and gives the ladies a fun night out,” Huizenga said.  

In addition to the array of vendors, from 5 to 7 p.m. Ron Evans of Mix 96 will broadcast live from the expo.

Attendees will also be able to register for a $100 Soderstrom gift certificate that will be raffled off that night.
