CLINTON —
The Clinton Fire Department was dispatched Friday at 10:05 a.m. to the Clinton County Courthouse for a smell of smoke.
The occupants of the building were evacuated to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office due to extremely cold weather conditions.
Upon investigation, fire department personnel located the remnants of what is being investigated as an intentionally set fire on the first floor of the building. The damage estimate is around $100.
The incident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Clinton Fire Department. The Clinton Police Department also assisted during the incident.
