Pro wrestling belts taken from heavyweight champ

OTTUMWA — There's really only one way to earn the Heavyweight World Championship Belt from TNA Impact Wrestling. Stealing is not it.

The Ottumwa Police Department said it had received a report from TNA Enterprises, the Nashville, Tenn.-based professional wrestling promoters, that their heavyweight wrestling championship belts had been stolen.

The belts, one valued at $6,000 as well as a replica valued at $400, were taken during TNA's Aug. 18 appearance in Ottumwa.

Investigators have arrested two Ottumwa men for the theft of the belts, which have been recovered.

The wrestling promoters said despite the theft of the belts, they plan to return to Ottumwa.
