Big Brothers Big Sisters sets Mardi Gras Open date

CLINTON — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clinton has announced the date for its new 2009 fundraiser — the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mardi Gras Open.

On Friday, Feb. 20, the community is invited to the Wild Rose Casino and Resort for the Mardi Gras Open.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mardi Gras Open is a miniature golf tournament that includes 18 specially designed holes showcasing a corporate sponsor in the community.

Three golfing shifts are available from which foursomes may choose. The registration fee is $40 per person. Food and prizes will be available at each shift along with a silent auction. A cash bar will also be available.

All proceeds will be used to support Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring programs in Clinton, Camanche, Fulton, Ill. and DeWitt. Proceeds will also be allocated to support the screening, matching and support of Big Brothers Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring relationships as well as various group activities.

Contact Big Brothers Big Sisters to receive a registration form or to receive information on sponsorship opportunities.
