DES MOINES —
Clinton County Fair Queen, Erin Weirup, 18, of Delmar, participates in the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition on Aug. 11.
Abrah Meyer, 17, of Bremer County was crowned the 2012 Iowa State Fair Queen by Gary McConnell, president of the Fair Board.
Samantha Lippens, 19, of Jackson County was named third runner-up. She is the daughter of Doug and Heidi Lippens of Miles.
The ceremony took place on Saturday evening at the Anne and Bill Riley Stage sponsored by Pepsi.
