Herald Staff Report
A satellite voting location opens today in Clinton County for the Nov. 6 general election.
The satellite location at the YWCA, 317 Seventh Ave. South, was a result of a petition filed by the Iowa Democratic Party requesting the satellite voting station.
According to a press release from County Auditor Eric Van Lancker, any Clinton County registered voter and those eligible to register to vote, can vote by absentee ballot at the location.
Ballots for all of the county voting precincts will be available at the satellite voting location from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Voter registration forms will be available for new registrations, as well as those who are already registered but need to change their address or name. The location will also be available for voters to drop off absentee ballots.
Information about the general election is available by calling Van Lancker at 242-0568.
