CLINTON —
More of the latest fashion styles will be at the fingertips of local fashionistas with the opening of a Cato women’s fashion store. The trendy store will be a welcome addition to Bella Rose Center, 2715 South 25th Street, which will now be completely occupied.
“This is a strong trade area and it’s nice to see it growing,” Bella Rose Center owner David Rose said.
The store will be located next to the recently opened GameStop and join the other businesses including Maurice’s, Claire’s and Hibbett Sports. Remodeling is currently under way at the location and the company has spared no expense in creating an appealing shopping atmosphere, according to Rose.
Cato features the latest fashion styles for any occasion — work or play, dressy or casual in junior, misses and plus sizes. They also sell jewelry, shoes and accessories, all at low prices, according to the Cato website. There are more than 1,000 Cato stores in 31 states, including one in Davenport.
“I’m very excited,” Rose said. “It will make a nice addition.”
The Clinton location is expected to open before Thanksgiving.
Cato is looking to hire several store management and sales associate positions. For more information visit Catofashions.com.

Kebabs: Health kick on a stick
Grilling is a simple way to feed your family well this summer. Start with a lean meat and a healthful marinade and then allow the grill to strip away additional fat for a heart-healthy and waist-friendly final result. Plus, grilling caramelizes the natural sugars in foods, which adds flavor without additional calories and fat.
