MAQUOKETA —
The results from a special election involving the newly-created Easton Valley School District are official.
The Jackson County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday and canvassed the results. After the canvass, a few votes were changed, but that could not make up the 20-vote difference from last Tuesday’s election.
Voters in Jackson County approved the merger of the East Central and Preston school districts into Easton Valley last week.
Residents in those districts have until 5 p.m. Friday to call for a recount.
