CLINTON —
A Clinton man is facing two felonies after being arrested at a Clinton business.
Derek Scheper, 25, of Clinton, was charged today with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, second degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphilia, a simple misdemeanor.
Clinton Police Department officers responded today to an alarm call at the 18 and Beyond Bookstore, 135 Fifth Ave. South.
Following a lengthy search, officers allegedly located Scheper hiding inside a wall in the building.
Officers are not releasing any additional information. Assisting at the scene was a Clinton County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and the Clinton Fire Department.
