Police investigate Clinton stabbing

CLINTON — A man was stabbed Monday night exiting a Clinton business.

Danny Bruggenwirth, 51, reported he had been stabbed by another individual while exiting Apollo Billiard’s, 237 Fifth Avenue South.

Officers from the Clinton Police Department responded at 7:35 p.m. to the 200 block of Sixth Avenue South for a report of an individual who had been stabbed and located Bruggenwirth, according to a release issued by the department.

The Clinton Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Bruggenwirth to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  

The case remains under investigation.
