Single-vehicle accident leaves 1 dead at scene
FOLLETTS — A person is dead after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday near Folletts.
Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 3400th block of 292nd Street, west of Folletts, at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday. According to a press release, the investigation indicates that a Ford Ranger was eastbound on 292nd Street, when the driver lost control on a curve and the vehicle entered the north ditch.
The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its top and the driver, the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office. The name of the driver is being withheld pending the notification of the family.
The Low Moor Fire Department and the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. The accident remains under investigation.
