Robert E. “Cookie” Cook, age 61, of Clinton, died Sunday Nov. 11, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, there will be a luncheon served at the Eagles Club, Clinton. Memorials may be given to the family in lieu of flowers. Bob was born on April 5, 1951, on Beaver Island in Clinton, IA, the son of Archie and Elaine (Bark) Cook Sr. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1970. He worked for Williamson Siding in Fulton for over 20 years. He moved to Florida and worked as a maintenance supervisor for Progressive Properties for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, boxing, football, his dogs, and was an artist.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Cook and Crystal Cook, both of Clinton; three stepchildren, Michelle Herch of Clinton, Matthew Meiners of Clinton and Jacob Meiners of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Miller of Springfield, IL, and Joan Petrehn of Jacksonville, FL; and a brother, Archie “Sonny” Cook Jr. of Clinton.
