Goldie Evalene Thompson, 70, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at her home on January 22, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 28, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery). A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Goldie was born November 28, 1942, in Arcadia, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (King) Pruett.
For many years Goldie worked for Drug Program Management as a subcontractor with various railroads as a compliance technician. She was a member of the Free in Jesus Church in Clinton.
She loved her dogs and was an avid collector of frog memorabilia.
Goldie is survived by one sister, Betty Norman of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Bill (Mary) Pruett of MI, and Elva Pruett of Circleville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Scott; her ex-husband, Amos; one sister, Margaret; and one brother, Jim.
