Ronald Ray Andersen, 70, of Low Moor, Iowa, passed away at Mercy Living Center North on January 30, 2013.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, west side of Clinton Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 4, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ronald was born June 28, 1942, in Sabula, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Vera (Rowether) Andersen. He was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. Following his high school graduation, Ronald enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving for three years achieving the rank of Seaman 1st Class. On March 20, 1972, he was united in marriage to Jane Heath in Nashville, Tennessee.
For many years Ronald worked for A&V Transportation as an over-the-road truck driver.
Ronald loved watching sports, especially baseball and basketball. He loved his family and will be sadly missed.
Ronald is survived by one daughter, Tausha Foreman of Clinton, IA; one granddaughter, Cheyenne Foreman of Clinton, IA; one sister, Barbara (Jim) Whitney of Albany, IL; three brothers, Dean (Janine) Andersen of Preston, IA, Larry (Connie) Andersen of Clinton, IA, Randy Andersen of Chandler, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jane; and son, Steve.
