Gregory F. Young, 61, of Fulton, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, Iowa.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Fulton Chapel of The Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Heifer International.
He was born October 30, 1951, in Joliet, Ill., to Richard F. and Margaret (Feeley) Young.
Greg was educated in the St. Peter and Paul Grade School, Naperville, Ill., and was a graduate of Benet Academy, Lisle, Ill. He attended the University of Illinois, Champaign, Ill.
He married Roxane L. Cossman on October 31, 2009, in Fulton; she survives.
Greg was employed by Exelon Power Company, Maywood, Ill., for 33 years.
Greg enjoyed golfing and was an avid White Sox and Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife, Roxane; one son, Seamus Young and fiancée Nicole Pope, Naperville, Ill.; his mother, Margaret “Posey” Young of Naperville, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Melissa Ball of Morrison, Ill., Kaleena (Dan) Johnson of Clinton and Elizabeth Graham of Fulton; one stepson, Elijah (Sally) Ball of Clinton, Ill.; eleven grandchildren, Makenna Young; Abbey and Alex Brown, Ashton Hayes; Austin and Ryleigh Johnson; Logan and Bowen Graham; Syrene and Ravae Ball; Jade Swan; one brother, Richard Young, Naperville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
