Florence E. Gillman, age 92, of Clinton, died Saturday Dec. 8, 2012, at the Alverno healthcare facility in Clinton.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Florence was born on March 5, 1920, in Fulton, IL, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Hass) Feldt. She worked at E.I. DuPont in Clinton in the cellophane department for many years, retiring in 1978. She loved taking care of her grandchildren when she was able and her many animal friends at home.
Florence is survived by her son, Robert (Miriam) Gillman of Eagle River, WI; three grandchildren, Janean (David) Rogers of San Diego, CA, Robert and Bradley Gillman, both of St. Charles, IL; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Nolan Rogers; two brothers, Frank Feldt and Herbert (Pat) Feldt both of Clinton, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and a special friend, Bill VanHuizen.
