Leslie R. Clemens, 60, of Albany, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Erie Christian Church, Erie, Ill., with Pastor Terry Green officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Clemens Memorial.
He was born January 16, 1953, in Trenton, MO, to Robert and Helen (Gooch) Clemens.
Leslie was educated in the Albany Grade School and was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, Ill.
He married Myrna (Wing) Connelly and later married Betty Jo (Markey) Pettit on September 7, 2005, in Rapid City, SD; she survives.
Les was employed by Lyondell in Clinton, Iowa, for 33 years.
Les was a member of the Morrison Sportsman Club and the Erie Christian Church, Erie, IL. He enjoyed riding his Harley.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; mother, Helen (Reuben) Dyrdahl of Clinton, Iowa; one daughter, Charity Miller of Fulton; two sons, Jason (Emily) Connelly of Hopkinsville, KY, and Beau Connelly of Clinton, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Julie (Dave) Calcote of Albany and Ann Overstreet of Albany; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Kevin (Mary Beth) Clemens of Morrison, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and one son, Adam Connelly.
