Paul A. Bower, 81, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. Cremation rites have been ac- corded. There will be no visitation. A private family memorial will be held at a future date.
Paul A. Bower was born on July 13, 1931, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of William and Mary (Eskew) Bower. He married Sharon K. Blum on June 16, 1973, in Sullivan, IL. He worked in the savings and loan in- dustry in Illinois, Louisiana and Iowa for 30 years. He was a member of Church of the Open Door in Clinton.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of Clinton; two sons, Randy of Rushville, IL, Tom (Amy) of Cedar Falls, IA, one daughter, Emily of Clinton; four grand- children, Brittny (Matt) Houser and Michael Bower, both of Bloomington, IL, Ben Bower of Silver Spring, MD, and Josh Bower of Cedar Falls, IA.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Bower, his sister, Shirley Huyck, and his parents. Memorials may be made to Church of the Open Door in Clinton.
