Dean F. Travis, 94, passed away on November 7, 2012. He was born in Clio, Iowa, on July 14, 1918, son of the late Dale and Cecil Travis. Dean lived in Clinton, Iowa, for 57 years and spent winters in Glendale, AZ, for 25 years. He was a full-time Arizona resident for the past 4 years. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. He taught speech at Clinton High School and at Clinton Community College, serving as president of the college for 11 years.
He is survived by daughter, Karen (Joe) Wilson; sons, Larry and Jon (Qian); and granddaughter, Jessica, as well as extended family and friends.
