Margaret C. Watters, age 102, of Clinton, died Monday Oct. 1, 2012, at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4th, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Margaret was born on Aug. 7, 1910, in Oxford Mills, IA, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Chandler) Eskelson. She worked as a beautician in Maquoketa for many years before moving to Clinton and working at the Clinton Garment Factory. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, oil painting and crafts.
Margaret is survived by her four children, Anna (Bill) Hansen of Clinton, Allen (Laddie) Watters of Sun City, AZ, Barbara (Bill) Blount of Mulberry, AR, and Robert (Patricia) Watters of Clinton; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Eskelson of Ozark, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Donna Lee.
