Wayne R. “Smiley” Eggers, 74, of Preston, Iowa, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton. A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Preston. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Preston. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Preston.
