JOPLIN, Mo. —
Rose M. Clark, 76, of Joplin and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Stanley Bomgarden officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton.
Memorials will be established.
She was born August 12, 1936, in St. Joseph, MI, to John F. and Nellie L. (Biggs) Honn.
Rose was educated in the Muscatine grade schools, Muscatine, Iowa, and attended Davenport High School in Davenport, Iowa.
She married William E. “Bill” Clark on February 18, 1965, in Belleville, Ill.; he died December 21, 2005; she later married Edward W. Wright on September 3, 2011, in Joplin, Mo.; he survives.
Rose was employed with General Electric, Morrison, Ill., for many years until retiring in 1996.
Rose was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton, Ill. She won the title of “Cherry Pie Queen of Iowa” in 1952.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Wright; six sons, Mike (Rose) Shepard of Lebanon, Mo, Mitch Shepard of Morrison, Ill., Mark (Patti) Shepard of Fulton, Ill., Matt Shepard of Fulton, Ill., Bill (Chris) Clark Jr. of Albany, Ill., and Jeff (April) Clark of Clinton, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marian “Betty” Kitchen of Davenport, Iowa, and Peggy Sue Files of Lebanon, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Clark; one daughter-in-law, Peg Shepard; and two sisters, Darlyne Geach and Lorene Flagg.
