Barbara Lee Whitney, 66, of Albany, Illinois, passed away March 5, 2013, in Florida.
Barb’s body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Albany, Illinois.
Barb was born August 5, 1946, to Arnold and Vera (Rohweder) Andersen in Goose Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1964. Barb worked many years at First Trust and Savings Bank in Albany, Illinois. She married James Whitney in February 1999. Barb loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed traveling in their motor home.
Barb is survived by her husband, Jim Whitney of Albany; daughter, Penny (Everardo) Dondiego; son, Brad (Jenny) Thomas; grandchildren, Austin and Venessa Dondiego, Devan Douglas; Matthew, Cole and Lucas (deceased) Thomas, Clinton; stepchildren, Brian (Carrie) Whitney; Mark (Mary) Whitney; Missy (Randy, deceased) Whitney; stepgrandchildren, Autumn (Wiley) Blasdell; Taylor, Jarica, Paige and Chloe Whitney; stepgrandchildren, Eric and Shawn Goodhart, Albany; brothers, Dean (Jeanine) Andersen, Preston; Larry (Connie) Andersen, Clinton; Randy (Darlene Bargman) Andersen, Mesa, Arizona.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Vera (Rohweder) Andersen; brother, Ron; sister-in-law, Jane; and nephew, Steven Andersen.
