Kathryn A. Van Trump, age 100, of Morrison and formerly of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Resthave Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton. Memorials may be given to the Resthave Nursing Home. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Kathryn was born on Feb. 9, 1913, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Albert and Alberdine (Dijk) Hoekstra. She married Roderick Van Trump in 1948 in Little Rock, AR; he died in 1968. Kathryn worked as a secretary for Western Electric in Cicero, IL, for over 25 years, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed listening to Christian music.
Kathryn is survived by her sister, Marguerite Vandermeulen of Morrison, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 10 brothers and sisters.
