FULTON, Ill. — Dec. 6, 1929 - March 19, 2013

Alice Mae Huizenga, 83, of Bickford Cottage in Clinton and formerly of Fulton, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Bickford Cottage.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Philip Stel, pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton.

She was born December 6, 1929, in Fulton to John M. and Elsie (Bielema) Huizenga.

Alice was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School.

Alice was first employed by the former Patent Novelty Company in Fulton. She later owned and operated Mor-Huiz, Inc. in Fulton until retiring.

Alice was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton. Alice was named grand marshall of the Fulton Dutch Days Festival. She was an accomplished musician and was skilled on several different instruments.

Survivors include one brother, Marvin Huizenga of Fulton; one niece, Ruth Fatchett of DeWitt; and one nephew, Kenneth Huizenga of Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, Genevieve Huizenga.
