Joseph E. Webb, age 60, of Fulton, IL passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 20th at the Church of the Open Door, officiated by Pastor James Machen. Visitation will be held Friday between 5 - 8 p.m. at the Church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Church of the Open Door or Mercy Hospice. Casket bearers will be John and Jason Webb, Brett and Nathan Hartman, Brent Mitchell, and Kyle Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Carl and Paul Greve, Peter Shadle, and Ronnie Eshelman. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Joe was born on April 18, 1952, in Clinton, IA, the son of John and Magdalen (Gehl) Webb. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. He married Karen Nolting on February 27, 1988, in Clinton. Joe worked with his father in the plumbing & heating business from 1970-1984. He then worked for 25 years at Midwest Wood Products in Savanna. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, Clinton. He enjoyed his work and working with his boys with 4-H and school projects.
Joe is survived by his wife, Karen Webb of Fulton, IL; three children, John (fiancé Robin Norburg) Webb, MaryAnn Webb, and Jason Webb all of Fulton, IL; four sisters, Marilyn (fiancé Don Yoerger) Lee of Goose Lake, IA, Monica Shadle of Clinton, Elaine (Mike) Maresca of Colorado Springs, CO, and Deb (Jeff) Greve of Clinton; and a brother, Pat (Melissa Thomsen) Webb of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
