FULTON, Ill. —
Gerald J. Boelkens, 83, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, died Friday, Feb. 15, at the nursing home.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at the Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, with the Rev. Rev. Tom Merchant, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church, officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fulton Township Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Fulton; five daughters, Beth (Larry) St. Ores of Fulton, Sue Krueger, of Cape Coral, Fla., Pam (Arnie) Vogel of Fulton, Norma (Keith) King of Fulton, and Lisa (Rod) Whitmore of Albany, Ill.; one son, Brent Boelkens of Sterling, Ill.; 16 grandchildren, Bill (Rebecca) St. Ores, Brenda (Joe) Delmar, Kelly (Jesse) Jacobs, Kari (Chris) Green, Kurt (Tara Hoage) St. Ores, Angie (Chris) Degueldre, Tony (Rodica) Krueger, Adrienne (Josh) Zachritz, Paul (Janie) Vogel, Marla (Jeremy) Wiersema, Andy (Donna) Vogel, Ben (Elise Medenblik) Vogel, Mark (Christine) Shepard, Alex (Kim Weiland) Shepard, Jeff Whitmore, Randy Whitmore; 17 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and a brother, LaVerne (Shirley) Boelkens of Chicago.
Memorials can be made to Self-Help Enterprises, Sterling, Ill., and Harbor Crest Nursing Home.
