Robert P. Wait, 84, of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, 3:15 p.m., at Saint Anne Home. Born July 3, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa, he was the son of the late Perry Wait and Gladys Potter. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 82. He was a regional sales manager with Kraft Foods. He was also a Shriner. Surviving are his wife, Joan (Brandt) Wait; daughter, Gretchen (Rob) Schilb; sons, Jason (Jacqueline) Wait and Paul (Julie) Wait; and grandchildren, Veronica, Taylor, Taylon, Kirsten, and Isabella. He was also preceded in death by brothers, William, Wayne, James, Bill, and Jim; and sisters, Margaret, Cora and Mary Lou Finn. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Friday at Advantage Funeral Home, 2403 East Wallen Rd., with calling one hour prior. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
