CLINTON —
Charles David Howes, 64, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Pallbearers will be members of Hells Our Home Motorcycle Club.
Charles was born February 21, 1948, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Charles L. and Hallie (Dusenberry) Howes. Charles was a Fulton, Illinois, High School graduate. He was a United States Navy veteran. He married Lois Russell on June 21, 1969, in Galena, Illinois.
Charles had been employed at 3M for more than 33 years prior to retiring in 2009. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Phillip David (Toni) Howes of Clinton; two grandchildren, Charles Anthony Howes and Catarina Elizabeth Howes; parents, Charles and Hallie of Albany; and brothers, David and Douglas Howes of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and an aunt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Camanche Middle School Drama Department.
