Rosemary Fanderclai

CLINTON — Rosemary Fanderclai, 80, of the Sarah Harding Home, Clinton, IA, and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Charwell House, Norwood, MA.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Merchant, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, and the Sarah Harding Home, Clinton, IA.

She was born June 30, 1929, in Clinton, IA, to John E. and Nellie (Sikkema) Vanderploeg.

She attended Fulton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School.

She married Arthur L. Fanderclai on August 27, 1947, in Fulton, IL. He died June 10, 2002.

Rosemary was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, where she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in Priscilla and Hannah Circles. Rosemary was active in the Music Booster Club at Fulton High School. She was a crossword puzzle expert. She was also involved with tutoring students at the Sarah Harding Home, Clinton, IA.

Survivors include one daughter, Tari Fanderclai, Norwood, MA; two sons, Kurt (Carrie) Fanderclai of Bettendorf, IA, and Mark (Misty) Fanderclai of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Fanderclai; Kyra and Tyler Fanderclai; one sister, Mrs. Doris Dykstra, Fulton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; one daughter in infancy, Lorrie Fanderclai; one sister, Bernadine Durkee; and brothers, Edward and Palmer Vanderploeg.
