EAGLE ROCK, Mo. — Robert C. Waugh, 69, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, formerly of Clinton, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Mission Regional Medical Center, Mission, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Johnson, Adam Nielsen, Katrina Durham, Ray Johnson, Eric Sanders and Marty Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilfred Smithson, James Gerber and Dick Veeslink. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to the service time at the funeral home.

Robert Charles Waugh was born on April 13, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Myrle and Mildred (Heneke) Waugh. He married Sharon Meyer on April 18, 1959, in Green Island, Iowa; she died on May 27, 2000. He later married Mona McDonough on June 9, 2002.

Bob was a 1958 graduate of Delmar High School.

Bob was a semi-truck driver for Driver’s Service in Chicago for 35 years.

Bob enjoyed doing things for others, being a campground host, sitting on the porch at the cabin telling stories, watching the humming birds and playing with his best friend Addie. He loved trucking.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mona, of Eagle Rock, Missouri; one daughter, Carolyn “Callie” (Ronald) Johnson of Denison, Iowa; one son, Michael (Vickie) Waugh of Rogers, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Eric Sanders of Betonville, Arkansas, Marty (Tabitha) Sanders of Anderson, Arkansas; four stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Wanda) Waugh of Bartelsville, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews and friends near and far.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon; and one sister, Carol.
