• Hats Off to Clinton is an outdoor art gallery dedicated to the people of Clinton.
This is a gallery that can be seen in the windows of businesses along Fifth Avenue South, Second Street and Main Avenue, comprised of more than 240 photographs of people from Clinton and the surrounding area.
The photos will be available for viewing through March 11.
Today
• Mitch Gravert from Green Island will present "Iowa's Edible Mushrooms," at 9 a.m. at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton, Ill.
Gravert's talk will cover not only the familiar morels but will go into detail about six additional types of mushrooms that are common edible wild mushrooms found locally. He will give tips on where and when to hunt them, how to identify them and how to cook and store them.
Currently, he is growing six different types of mushrooms in a variety of media.
• The Jackson County Women, Land and Legacy group will meet to help set new objectives for the program as it strives to help meet the informational and networking needs for women producers, landowners, and others involved in agriculture.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Comfort Inn in Maquoketa. Refreshments will be provided.

Thursday
• Meadows Nursing Home, 1000 Longmoor Ave. in Savanna, Ill., will host a caregiver support group at noon. This is open to everyone and lunch is included. The new program director for the Alzheimer’s Association will be available.
Friday
• Fun Time Friday will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Elizabeth Hopkins. The theme will be “March, a lion or a lamb?”
Children will learn about weather in March and the history of this saying.
Fun Time Friday is a program designed for the learning and developmental needs of preschoolers and toddlers. Children attend with a parent, grandparent, or caregiver on a drop-in basis without pre-registration.
Admission for Fun Time Friday is regular daily admission of $4 per person ages 2 to 64, $3 per person ages 65 and older, and free for members and for children ages 1 and younger.
Family Date Night will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. This monthly event offers families a time to learn, explore and play at the Children’s Discovery Center.
Friday night’s theme will be “Easter Surprise.” A light meal, music, inflatable, face painting, crafts and more will be provided. Cost of the event is $5 per person, $2 per member, and free for children ages 1 and younger.
Sunday
• The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center will host its omelet breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the center, at 332 Eighth Ave. South.
The menu will include omelets, pancakes, sausage, rolls, orange juice, milk and coffee. Tickets are $9 adults ($10 at the door), $5 for children ages 4 to 10, and free for children 3 and younger.
Tickets are available at the Children’s Discovery Center.
March 5
• Dining for Hope will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at El Toro Restaurant, 701 N. Second St. Proceeds will go to the Victory Center Rescue Mission.
March 9
• The Clinton County Conservation Board is sponsoring a workshop on Wildlife Photography. The workshop will be held at the Mississippi River Eco Center at Rock Creek Marina. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 2:45 p.m.
The workshop is intended to provide information to a broad range of photographers ranging from beginners to advanced. The workshop is free.
